Labels:book | bulletin board | reckoner | sky OCR: When UpToDate Considers a File to be Changed When two files are linked for the first time UpToDate compares the modification dates of both files to see which one is oldest Once the link is established UpToDate only compares the modification date of a file with the last known modification of that file These comparisons only make sense if the clocks on the volunes reasonably synch ronized UpToDate tries to detect and correct for situations where the clock on one volume changes with respect to the other.
